Happiness

 Happiness is an elusive treasure,
Hidden beneath a sea of tears,
It can be found within minutes,
Or elude you for many years.
Even when it is finally found,
It is not very easy to keep,
And once it is lost again,
You'll never be able to sleep.
Spending your time searching,
For the unattainable treasure,
Foregoing all sense of time,
And enduring pain beyond measure.
What you need to understand is,
That happiness is a state of mind,
It can be found in small things,
Happiness of a different kind...

I miss you..

You made me laugh,
You made me cry,
I cannot forget you,
Even if I try............

Every time I looked ,
At your innocent face,
My heart started singing,
And dancing with grace...

You were so loving,
You were so sweet,
Everyday I pray,
That somehow we meet....

Now that you are gone,
There is a hole in my heart,
I wish we were together,
And not so far apart..........

I want to meet you,
I want to talk to you,
I want to tell you,
That darling 'I miss you'!

Lost...

I don't want to become,
Another book on the shelf,
I want to be  lost,
In a quest to find myself.

I want to be lost,
So that I can be found,
And reach a destination,
Not just wander around.

I want to redefine myself,
I want to recreate the world,
And not just sit listlessly,
Thinking about a dream world.

Dreams in my eyes.

After a very hectic month I have decided to post again. Blogging is my only stress buster and I can't survive without that. So here I  go again...

This lie has slowly become a part of me,

As  everyday I have played this game,

Trying to act as if it doesn't hurt,

At each and every mention of her name.

Trying to trap this feeling inside of me

Pretending everyday that I have moved on,

Behaving as if the feelings that I once had,

For her have somehow miraculously gone.

I am spending each and every moment,

Surrounded by happiness and laughs

Trying to forget all those memories

And avoiding all our photographs.

But the last time  when I saw her,

After hours together when she left

My heart stopped beating for a moment.

Bound by a spell, I couldn't catch my breath.

That was  when the realization suddenly  hit me

As the tears started to flow from my eyes,

That even though so much time has passed,

I haven't let her dreams leave my eyes..

Bring down the Curtain.

Once in a while someone disagrees with something that Shakespeare says.
But I neither have strength nor the desire to disagree in this case.

If the world is a stage, then life is a play. A play that has more irony 
than anything Shakespeare has ever written. 

One ACT of the play is now over. 

Its time for another ACT to begin.

Time to say "Bring down the curtain!"

Farewell! 

New Year Resolutions

"What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That's not been said a thousand times?"

An hour before midnight we lounge on the couch, distracted, tuning the best channels to watch New Year’s Eve fireworks, bursting with exuberance into the sky, circling the world. That exciting intangible something, witnessing global celebrations.
This is the illusion.

The ugly truth: We start our new years lazing on the couch, sending texts, watching stupid TV shows etc etc etc........ And some of us are so drunk that we don't even know when the clock struck 12.

Now just like every year I have a whole new set of resolutions. A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other. Still I have given the list a fair amount of thought (probably much more than it deserves).
So, here I go...

1) To tolerate fools more gladly (provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time.)
2) I resolve to stop complaining about everything. (unless something doesn't really piss me off)
3) Start smoking to lose weight (I am not fat!! Just a bit on the bulkier side)
4) No booze (in the afternoon)
5) No slang ( not unless its absolutely needed)

And last but MOST IMPORTANT

6) I promise to stick to these resolutions for more than a week :)

I really value our friendship ,

To make a small change,
